The Legal Duties & Responsibilities Of Company Directors

Understanding The Legal & Statutory Frameworks Of Company Law

This workshop aims to give delegates a thorough understanding of the UK’s legal and statutory frameworks that impact upon the role of a company director (statutory or de facto); and help signpost to sources of any future legislation changes.

The Latin phrase, “ignorantia juris non excusat” applies to the role of a director in company law as much as it does in any other area of the law. Whilst a good moral code goes a long way to avoiding most legal situations, the ever-changing landscape around employment law, trading law and statutory regulations are just some specific areas of knowledge that SME directors and senior business leaders must come to understand and remain informed of.
